How to choose your wedding flowers

Your wedding flowers play an important part in the look of your big day. From the groom’s buttonhole to the reception flowers, your wedding flowers will set the tone and theme for the day.

Seasons & Inspiration –

Flowers are the perfect way to add colour, fragrance and texture into your wedding. With so many flowers to choose from, there are some flowers which are not available in some seasons. This is an important consideration that is often overlooked by newly engaged brides.
With the wonderful world of Pinterest, it can be too easy to find and obsess over your dream flowers without stopping to think about the availability of your favourite blooms.

We are lucky enough to have beautiful flowers in bloom each season here in the UK – from cherry blossoms, peonies, delphiniums to dahlias and a lot of gorgeous blooms in between.

Budget –

It is very important to discuss the budget with your florist. The whole point of telling your florist your budget is they can best judge where you should concentrate the focal flowers where you can reuse displays and what you don’t really need. A lot more goes into your wedding flowers than you think. Your florist will provide you with quotes that takes into account the time spent on designing, conditioning, arranging the flowers, on site large installations and take down at the middle of the night after the wedding or the following morning after , all this add up quickly.

Your venue–

Knowing the kind of space will allow you to picture how things will look: from the floral chandelier to the floral columns where you want to exchange your vows under.

Pick a florist

Pick a florist who you like and who will make your wedding floral dream a
reality. Your florist will guide you with your ideas.

Planning ahead will mean there is no last minute on the day worries- this will allow you to spend more time enjoying your wedding day and your flowers.
